01 / Selected perspective

The person.
Then the wardrobe.

Style begins with understanding: how someone lives, what makes them feel like themselves, and what they need their wardrobe to do.

Concept case study / 01

Adrian / 38 / Los Angeles

Creative Director · Gallery Opening · $800–$1,200

The brief

Minimal without feeling corporate. Neutral palette, subtle vintage influence, interesting proportion and texture. No logos or overt trend pieces. The client wanted the outfit to be noticeable without making its point of interest immediately obvious.

Architectural Minimalism / Warm Modernism

Adrian concept styling board: collarless camel layer, cream ribbed tee, charcoal herringbone trousers, brown Chelsea boots and a curved-buckle leather belt, with texture details and an AI-assisted outfit visualization.

The styling rationale

A collarless camel wool layer introduces an architectural silhouette without formal blazer conventions, while cream ribbing and charcoal herringbone create quiet textural contrast. Relaxed trousers balance Adrian's lean proportions, and warm leather accessories prevent the neutral palette from becoming stark. The result is understated from a distance and increasingly detailed up close.

Camille / 32 / Chicago

Museum Development Manager · Donor Dinner · $1,500–$2,000

The brief

Cocktail attire for a donor dinner at a historic hotel with an established, arts-adjacent crowd. Camille wanted sophistication without feeling like she was performing “old money.” She gravitates toward deep color, sculptural silhouettes, subtle historical references, and beautiful fabrication while avoiding overly sweet or costume-like dressing.

Modern Romanticism / Sculptural Eveningwear

Camille concept styling board with a draped oxblood one-shoulder gown, vintage gold strappy pumps, ruby drop earrings and a ruby tennis bracelet, with texture details and an AI-assisted outfit visualization.

The approach

A draped oxblood gown creates a strong sculptural silhouette while defining the waist and allowing the fabric itself to provide the visual interest. Vintage 1990s Dolce & Gabbana heels introduce a subtle archival element, while yellow gold and ruby jewelry repeat the gown's color story on a smaller scale. Rather than adding competing embellishment, each accessory reinforces the palette through material, texture, and provenance.

The result feels polished and appropriate for a formal arts setting without relying on obvious luxury signaling. Each piece can also live beyond this specific event, allowing the styling to feel collected rather than occasion-specific.

Julian / 44 / London

Music Producer & Independent Record Label Owner · Music Awards Ceremony · £5,000–£7,000

The brief

An awards ceremony celebrating independent British music, followed by an industry afterparty. After two decades working with alternative artists, Julian wanted an evening look with authority and personality without appearing as though he were trying to be one of the performers.

His existing wardrobe embraces vintage tailoring, leather, silk, and strong silhouettes. He appreciates theatricality, construction, and unusual textiles, making the objective refinement rather than reinvention.

Subcultural Tailoring / Modern Glam

Julian concept styling board: silver-check jacket with black leather detailing, burgundy shirt, narrow black trousers, black loafers, burgundy-dial watch and black silk-jacquard scarf, with textile details and an AI-assisted outfit visualization.

The approach

A Silver Check Panelled Jacket from Sir Tom Baker establishes the look through sharp tailoring, an elongated silhouette, leather detailing, and graphic silver check. Rather than competing with the jacket, narrow black McQueen trousers extend its clean vertical line and provide a restrained foundation.

A burgundy shirt introduces rich color beneath the monochromatic tailoring, echoed deliberately in the dial of Movado's Heritage Tempo-Matic. The watch's 1970s-inspired case provides a subtle period reference to Julian's glam and punk influences without turning the look into revival dressing.

Black Christian Louboutin loafers maintain a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette, while a Saint Laurent silk-jacquard scarf adds movement and texture at the neckline. Worn loosely rather than formally tied, it gives the styling a sense of nonchalance appropriate to someone accustomed to creative-industry spaces.

The result

A commanding evening look that combines traditional British tailoring with glam-rock influences and contemporary luxury. Statement construction, archival references, and restrained supporting pieces create an ensemble that feels individual without becoming theatrical costume.

Maya / 27 / Los Angeles

Social Media Strategist · Everyday Wardrobe Refresh · $2,500–$4,000

The brief

Maya works in entertainment marketing and spends most of her week moving between coffee meetings, agency offices, dinners, and events where nobody is technically dressed up but everybody has clearly thought about what they're wearing.

Her wardrobe is trend-aware and feminine but deliberately effortless. She follows fashion closely and saves outfits constantly, but has reached the point where her closet contains twenty individually fashionable things that somehow don't make ten good outfits.

She wants to look current without becoming a walking microtrend compilation.

Elevated It Girl / Polished Off-Duty

Maya concept styling board with wide-leg denim-look track pants, an ivory cardigan, a pink mixed-media polo, ivory slingback flats, a tan saddle bag, tortoiseshell sunglasses and a pink-stone tennis bracelet, alongside an AI-assisted outfit visualization.
Concept client study · Flatlay and outfit visualization AI-assisted · Styling by H. Shea Ni View full size ↗

The approach

The wardrobe pairs R&B Miramar wide-leg ankle track pants with an ivory Altuzarra slim-fit cardigan and SEROYA’s pink mixed-media polo, creating a small foundation of relaxed denim, clean knitwear, and playful color.

Ivory rag & bone slingback flats keep the looks polished while remaining casual, while the Chloé Marcie saddle bag introduces a warm neutral that works across the wardrobe. Coach sunglasses and a pink-stone Thomas Sabo tennis bracelet complete the accessories, carrying the soft pink and neutral palette through without requiring every piece to match.

The result is feminine, current, and easy to combine, giving Maya recognizable trend elements while maintaining enough cohesion for the pieces to function as a wardrobe rather than isolated purchases.

02 / The approach

An eye for style.
An ear for people.

A beautiful selection is only part of the experience. The way a person is heard, understood, and supported matters just as much.

I.

Listen closely.

Ask beyond size and occasion. Understand comfort, confidence, daily routines, and what has or hasn’t worked before.

II.

Curate with purpose.

Connect aesthetic judgment with practical needs. Build cohesive looks and explain the small choices that make them feel personal.

III.

Build the relationship.

Remember preferences, welcome honest feedback, and use each conversation to make the next interaction more considered.

Dark romanticVintage influenceAvant-garde curiosity

My personal style lives somewhere between dark romance, vintage character, and a little avant-garde curiosity.

That perspective shapes my eye for fashion. My approach to personal styling starts with the individual: their tastes, their life, and the ways they want to express themselves.

With a background in personal styling at Stately and Stitch Fix, I’m interested in the connection between thoughtful curation and thoughtful service. My passion for luxury extends to the care, knowledge, and attention that make an experience feel exceptional.

I welcome private styling conversations and opportunities with fashion teams that value individuality, strong client relationships, and a considered customer experience.
